The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a five-year (10-semester) professional degree approved by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). It prepares students to become competent healthcare professionals who can assess, diagnose, and manage movement disorders caused by injury, illness, or disability. The curriculum blends foundational sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology with clinical and behavioral sciences. Emphasis is placed on developing strong decision-making, critical thinking, and hands-on treatment skills through methods like manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy techniques. Obaid Noor Institute of Medical Sciences (ONIMS), established in 2021, is a pioneer in offering the DPT program in Mianwali. The institute provides a modern and well-equipped learning environment supported by experienced faculty and clinical instructors. Students gain practical experience through real patient interactions at the on-campus Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Center, which also provides free services to the local community.
