Following are the admission guidelines inclusive of amendments made to date for winning admission in ONIMS.

  1. Admissions shall be made based on merit under the criteria laid down by the Admission Committee from time to time.
  2. All the Pakistani Nationals can Foreign candidates as permitted by Govt. of Pakistan are also eligible to apply.
  3. There will be no fixed/reserved seats for any region.
  4. The student will have to apply afresh every year; no previous year’s application will be entertained.
  5. Students who have passed HSSC/F.Sc (premedical) examination as a minimum education are eligible to apply for Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D), Generic Bachelor in Science in Nursing (BS Nursing) and Bachelor in Science in Medical Lab Technology (BS MLT). However, only female students with matriculation (SSC) with science group and with biology as a compulsory subject can apply for the Lady Health Visitor (LHV), and matriculation with arts/science can apply for the Community Midwife (CMW) two-year diploma programs.
  6. Result awaiting students can apply with their hope certificate dully signed from Head/Principal of the intermediate institution.
  7. Candidates having studied in systems of education not mentioned above will be considered only if they provide evidence of satisfactory completion of a Higher Secondary School Certificate of education/equivalent with the achievement or equivalent at least 60% for Pharm. D, 50% for BS nursing & BS MLT. For LHV, 45% achievement in matric/SSC/equivalent with Biology as a compulsory subject and for CMW 40% achievement in matric/SSC/equivalent with science or arts. Equivalence from the IBCC (Inter Board Committee of Chairman) stating that the qualifications are equivalent to the Higher School qualifications (F.Sc) in Pakistan will be required. Provisional admission can be granted to the student subject to provision of said equivalence certificate from the IBCC before conducting 1st Year (Under Annual System) examination of the degree program for which admission is granted (HEC Letter No. 5-3/HEC/A&A/2015/78 dated June 24, 2015).
  8. The maximum age limit for Pharm. D program is 30 years, and for both BS Nursing & BS MLT programs the maximum age limit on the closing date of applications is 28 years. For Lady Health Visitors (LHV) & Community Midwife (CMW), the maximum age is 35 & 40 years respectively at the time of closing date of the admission application.
  9. According to the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan Pharm. D regulations, ONIMS may allocate seats for children of the registered pharmacists provided that such seats shall not exceed five percent (05%) of the total annual admissions of students in the First Professional. Preference will be given to the ONIMS Pharmacy faculty staff (S.R.O. 740 (I) /2005, PCP Pharm. D Regulations).
  10. According to the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan Pharm. D regulations, ONIMS shall allocate not more than two percent (02%) of the total annual admissions of the students in the First Professional for nominees of the proprietors, partners, and directors of the pharmaceutical industry as specified in the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (XLVII of 1984).
  11. The admission process will be completed after one month of the HSSC/F.Sc result every year, except for special circumstances or as prescribed by the relevant regulatory body.
  12. No Admission Form will be accepted after the due date for submission of forms.
  13. Candidates can apply through our official mail. Candidates can also download the admission form and application processing fee challan through our official website at https://onims.edu.pk/ .
  14. Students must get their documents verified by themselves from their respective BISE (board of intermediate and secondary education) where he/she last attended or seek for any NOC in case required for the admission from their last attended board or university.
  15. NAT/MCAT/IUB Test will be mandatory to apply for the BS Nursing and BS MLT programs. Students must score at least 40% to be eligible for admissions in the respective programs.
  16. For BS Nursing & MLT programs, the merit will be computed considering 80% weightage of the HSSC/FSc. (Premedical)/Equivalent and 20% weightage of the NAT/MCAT/IUB Test marks.
  17. Students can apply on the basis of recent NAT/MCAT/IUB admission test results provided that it should not be older than one year from the date of the commencement of admissions (only for BS Nursing & MLT).
  18. Test/interview for Pharm.D admissions will be conducted after the closing date of the admissions.
  19. Candidates claiming to be Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran shall attach three (03) attested copies of the Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate issued by a registered Madrassa.
  20. Additional marks will be added to HSSC/F.Sc or equivalent marks of a Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran as per policy.
  21. The students applying for additional marks on the basis of Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran will have to pass the Hafiz-e-Quran test organized by ONIMS.
  22. The candidates will have to submit their application with attested photographs and photocopies of the following testimonials:
  • CNIC/B-form of the candidate and CNIC his/her father/guardian.
  • 4 latest passport size photographs.
  • Matric/SCC/O-level or equivalent certificate.
  • Sc/HSSC (pre-medical) or A-level certificate or equivalent certificate.
  • Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate (if applicable) issued and verified by the registered institutions only.
  • Disability certificate (if applicable) from NADRA.
  • Fitness certificate by the registered medical practitioner.
  • Verification certificate for the genuineness of the degrees/certificates.
  • NAT/MCAT/IUB Test for admission in BS Nursing & MLT.

Note: Any candidate detected to have submitted forged certificates or fake documents with the application form shall be permanently debarred from admission.

  1. Disability certificate (if applicable) from NADRA will be only acceptable.
  2. Fee must be deposited within 3 days after the display of 1st merit list.
  3. The candidates who do not deposit the fee of the 1st merit list will be dropped off and the 2nd merit list will be displayed. The fee will have to be deposited within 3 days after the display of 2nd merit list.
  4. The 3rd merit list will be displayed after the due date of fee submission for 2nd merit The fee must be deposited within 3 days after the display of the 3rd merit list.
  5. The Medical Board of Obaid Noor Institute of Medical Sciences will examine selected candidates. If a candidate is disqualified medically, for reasons to be recorded, he/she will not be admitted.
  6. A candidate whose candidature has been accepted will be required to produce the original documents for the issuance of admission fee challan.
  7. All the admitted students are directed to submit original copy of the paid slip/challan in the office of the relevant department for the issuance of class roll numbers.
  8. Upon offer of the admission, the applicant will have to submit an affidavit (available on website or obtained from student affairs office) before the commencement of classes.
  9. If the student wishes to leave the institution and does not join the classes after commencement of the classes, there shall be a 100% refund of annual tuition fee (semester tuition fee for semester programs) within 10 days (including weekends/holidays) of the class commencement, 50% refund of annual tuition fee (semester tuition fee for semester programs) within 20 days, and after 20 days there will be no refund.
  10. The candidates should submit the certificate for: 
  • Fully vaccinated against tetanus.
  • Fully vaccinated against hepatitis “B”
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (Mandatory)
  1. If any document/information provided by the candidate is found false/fake/fabricated at any stage of admissions as well as during studies, his/her admission will be canceled.
  2. A student who was rusticated/expelled or whose entry in any college/University campus was banned on disciplinary, educational misconduct or any other reasons at any time during his/her academic career shall not be admitted to any class, provided that the competent authority may allow provisional admission of such candidates on the recommendations of the Admission Committee and may seek approval from the competent authority of the affiliated University. However, in case such a student conceals this information regarding rustication/expulsion/ban and later on, this information is disclosed after he/she is admitted to a course of study, his/her admission will be immediately cancelled and no claim against submitted dues for that particular course of study will be entertained.
  3. Students who need financial assistance must apply at the time of admissions on the prescribed financial assistance scholarship form.
